Programmable Messaging for Electronic Government - Building a Foundation
Electronic Government offers citizens and businesses a single interface to all public services, implemented through cross-agency processes and applications. This paper presents a fragment of a software infrastructure that enables agencies to collaborate in the delivery of public services, responsible for automated, process-driven exchange of messages between applications. In addition to basic m...
متن کاملProgrammable DNA self-assemblies for nanoscale organization of ligands and proteins.
We demonstrate the precise control of periodic spacing between individual protein molecules by programming the self-assembly of DNA tile templates. In particular, we report the application of two self-assembled periodic DNA structures, two-dimensional nanogrids, and one-dimensional nanotrack, as template for programmable self-assembly of streptavidin protein arrays with controlled density.
متن کاملDNA nanotechnology for nanophotonic applications.
DNA nanotechnology has touched the epitome of miniaturization by integrating various nanometer size particles with nanometer precision. This enticing bottom-up approach has employed small DNA tiles, large multi-dimensional polymeric structures or more recently DNA origami to organize nanoparticles of different inorganic materials, small organic molecules or macro-biomolecules like proteins, and...
متن کاملof Nanotechnology and Materials Science
Technology refers to the application of knowledge for human benefits. Nanotechnology has been defined as ‘the understanding and control of matter at dimensions of roughly 1 100 nanometers, where unique phenomena enable novel applications’[1]. Nanotechnology is unique in the sense that it enables us to observe, synthesize and manipulate things at the nanometer scale[2]. The word nano is derived ...
